Strength Training Over 50's

Strength Training over 50’s is a 1 hour class which is available every day with qualified instructions either indoors (BE STRONGER) or outdoors (WEIGHTS AND STRETCH). The fitness class is aimed at increasing muscular strength, improving balance and flexibility by using free weights, therabands and body weight. This aim is also to prevent the inevitable loss of muscle with age and to increase muscles that have shrunk due to lack of use. They will become firmer and stronger and you will look and feel better.

Women need not be concerned about bulking up due to their much lower levels of testosterone (a hormone found in much larger amounts in the male body and increases in muscle mass).

The results? With consistent and regular training you should be able to see results in 6-8 weeks by applying progressive increases with your weights. By including regular walks in your repertoire of weekly exercise then you may see results sooner. However you should FEEL better after only a few weeks. Diet has an influence on results.
